Hello everyone, my name is Mike Tinisser, author of Sinister Soup.

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with reading.  I could always be found with my nose buried in a book.  It wasn’t long after I learned to read that I began writing my own stories.  In third grade, I was writing and self-publishing my own short stories.  I would write them on plain white paper, folded in half and stapled, then design my own poorly drawn cover.  My artistic talents consisted of terrible stick figures wearing t-shirts, but I made it work.  I always made a few copies of each by hand and gave them to my friends, who were featured in all of the stories.  I’ve been writing off and on since then, although most of my earlier stories were lost years ago.  I didn’t have a computer until I was in high school.

I have written a lot of things over the years, but I’ve never really tried to publish anything.  Most of my attempts at books remain unfinished due to the distractions of life.  I don’t know if I will ever finish writing a novel of respectable length, but I’ve certainly found novellas to my liking.  The ability to deliver a compelling story without the need for long, drawn out filler keeps me moving along at a pace I am comfortable with.

Most of my better stories fit into the horror or mystery-thriller genre.  I decided to start this blog because I like the idea of being able to post them one chapter at a time, crafting and molding them as my readers give me feedback.  I hope you find a few of them to your liking.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my work!
